Groundhog Day was full of smiles around here. Mr. Ralph always surprises us with unusual decorations and critters, and this year he had a brand new groundhog shirt. It was awesome. Look at our groundhog faces!

We spent several weeks working together as a team to determine how we want our class to be, how we may honor God in the specific little things in each learning day. Our activities helped to provide opportunities to live out the actions we are looking for, which led to constructing our rules this week.
The students determined the wording in small groups, and then they voted on their favorite rules.
***We will respect, worship, and pray to God.
***We will encourage and respect people.
***We will take care of our classroom and school.
***We will try our best when we’re working.
Today we celebrated that milestone with our first special sewing time with Mrs. Shedd! Each student sewed a stuffy to guard over his or her hook this year.
Thank you, Shedds, for your kindness! Thank you, Mrs. Oke, for assisting today! Our room was full of smiles.
Check out some pictures and videos from our first week together! I couldn’t stop smiling the whole week.
Psalm 89:1 I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever;
with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
We are celebrating the birth of Oliver James Post, born August 9th, weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces.
Yesterday was the gigantic Makerspace cleanup. We can’t wait until the creative, curious young engineers are back exploring together here. Heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Dellinger, Mrs. Walker, and Karis for patient sorting, gazillions of decisions, and lots of sweat and dust yesterday as they served. We had a blast together.
