Part of our Forty Book Challenge trip included our math lesson of the day OUTDOORS! The challenge was a geometry photo scavenger hunt. Off we went through Hanover, NH, looking for real examples of our geometry vocabulary. We practiced sidewalk courtesy and crosswalk safety, and we ended the sweaty afternoon with smooth, creamy gelato from Mrs. Jasmin. What fun!

As we strive every day to have healthy minds and bodies, the Johnsons came up with the perfect math station for us–Hopscotch Calculator! The mathematicians did a terrific job jumping out their equations, developing some pretty creative combinations. As one student commented, the only problem was, “Where is the clear button?”
