Once again, we are so thrilled to welcome Dartmouth START volunteers to our classroom.  Their wonderful ideas and enthusiastic leadership enrich our studies unbelievably.

Jimmy, Eliana, and Caroline are infusing the arts into our poetry unit in remarkable ways.  Week one explored the creative use of words and the way poets play with the sound, meaning, and placement of words in their craft.  We savored “Rabbit” by Mary Ann Hoberman, developed more than one piece of art from pipe cleaners, and acted out skits that used a prop in multiple ways.  Our poetry brains are awake and ready to roll!
