We discussed and then it’s spring by Julie Fogliano, with its marvelous words of anticipation like the “green hum” that hints spring is coming.  Afterwards, we ventured outdoors to experience the brown ourselves.  Brown, brown, everywhere, but full of the possibility of green.  Travel over to the student blogs to read their brown poems!
