Inquiry Projects

Our week was characterized by curiosity, as students presented science discoveries they chose to find out more about.  They started with a question they wondered about concerning electricity and magnetism, and they investigated their question.  How do compasses work?  What materials are best for conducting electricity?  Who is Morse?  How do mag lev trains work?  What is an atom?

They presented their findings in a way they chose.  We were treated to experiments, posters, creative writing on a day without electricity, and models.  We asked lots of questions, gave plenty of compliments on the work of others, and ended up with more curious questions we hope to research in the future.  Very satisfying.
